Community
In Rock of Ages Church, our Community Groups (CGs) serve as the backbone of our ministry infrastructure. The Community Group members meet in homes weekly. Through these small groups, we do life together, care for one another, engage in intentional discipleship and reach out to those who have yet to believe in Jesus Christ.
Community Life – Church is family and relationship is important. God intends for believers to be meaningfully connected with one another. This can effectively take place only in small groups where opportunities exist for members to foster deeper relationship with one another. So apart from attending our Sunday services, you are welcome to join one of our Community Groups that is located near your home.
Discipleship – Discipleship is best done experientially. In Rock of Ages Church, we are committed to the transformation of lives. There is no better place to accomplish this than in the Community Groups where lives touch lives in open, transparent and authentic ways. We are intentional in connecting the Word of God with life and life with the Word of God.
Pastoral Care – Pastoral care is provided through our Community Groups. Our Community Group leaders serve as shepherds to care for their group members. Members within each individual group also provide support and encouragement for one another.
Missional Engagement – Our Community Group members actively reach out to their non-believing family members and friends. Once a month during the Community Week, they would connect with our loved ones over a meal or some meaningful activities. Occasionally, the Community Groups also organise outreach activities like the Alpha Course for seekers who are interested to explore the Christian faith.
