The Eschatological Implications of Donald Trump’s Presidency

Donald Trump will be the 47th President of the USA He won by a landslide in both the electoral and popular votes. On all counts, it is a solid and convincing win.
Trump’s win is also one of the greatest political comebacks in American history. He served for one term as President but lost in the 2020 election.
The last two US elections were highly contentious for many reasons. The country was divided along cultural lines and over many other significant issues.
Trump’s historic comeback is a clear sign of the American people’s pushbacks against the crazy woke and progressive agendas. Soon after his election win, the President-elect announced that he would disallow transgender men from participating in women’s sports. He also signaled his intention to purge the military of woke ideology and roll back efforts to make the military more inclusive to transgender soldiers.
Trump’s resounding victory also sends shockwaves around the world. While President Putin of Russia welcomes Trump’s peace gesture regarding the war in Ukraine, China is wary of his hawkish position on trade.
The incoming US President is opposed to the present White House and NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organisation) countries’ push for a wider conflict against Russia in Ukraine.
Israel welcomes the presidency of Donald Trump. The new President is expected to take a harder stand against Iran, the axis of evil in the Middle East and the arch enemy of Israel. Unlike the Biden administration, Trump will be more supportive of Israel in its efforts to neutralise Iran’s threat and degrade the military capability of Hezbollah and Hamas.
Moving on to the West, the European Union (EU) is holding its breath as Trump is vehemently opposed to the climate and decarbonisation agendas that it is pursuing aggressively. During his election campaigns, he referred to the attempts to mitigate the climate crisis as a scam. He called climate change “a big hoax.” I agree.
President Trump is expected to pull the US out of the Paris climate agreement and reverse the current drilling and energy restrictions in the US.

In this election, the Americans voted to reject globalism, socialism, tyranny as opposed to liberty, open borders, woke ideology, transgenderism, and the green agenda.
This is a counter-revolution against the progressive agendas of the liberal left. Essentially, it is a vote against the attempt by the globalist elite class to control the peoples and nations of the world through these agendas.
This reflection is not a political commentary per se. I mention all these things because they have eschatological implications.

The First Amendment in the US Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech and freedom of religion, has come under heavy attack in recent years. Contrary views on issues ranging from climate change to coronavirus and the risks of mRNA vaccines are summarily censored from social media such as Facebook and YouTube. Any such opinions, even if they are made by eminent scientists and experienced medical doctors, are conveniently labelled as misinformation and disinformation. These people are also accused of promoting conspiracy theories.
In appointing people like Elon Musk and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., we can expect significant changes in these areas in the days ahead.
Musk is a champion of free speech and that was one of the reasons he bought Twitter, now rebranded as X. X has taken a firm stand for freedom of speech against EU regulators and the U.S. intelligence agencies.
For many years, RFK Jr., who is a trial lawyer, has been at the forefront of fighting environmental issues and speaking against the corrupt practices of Big Pharma. He has also openly criticised the lack of transparency in the trial data of the mRNA vaccines.
Given all this, we can expect free speech and open conversation to be reinstated to a good extent in social media. Malpractices by Big Pharma and regulatory agencies will also be held to close accountability.

The aggressive push for the Great Reset using these agendas in recent years by the Western governments and global institutions coupled with their public-private partnership with global banks and transnational corporations is an ambitious plan to forge a New World Order. Its ultimate purpose is the formation of a global government.
In case you think that this is a conspiracy theory, consider the forceful pushbacks by many other countries including Russia, China, and the BRICS nations. These countries know the West is desperately trying to maintain their faltering global dominance and leadership.
The New Digital Financial Revolution
Besides the resistance from these countries, the election of Donald Trump as the next US President poses a serious threat to the globalists’ plan because he is the antithesis of everything they represent and want to see happen.
Trump is anti-globalism, anti-war, and anti-wokeism. He sees through the climate scam. He champions free speech and the freedom of religion. He is supportive of Israel.
So, in the next four years, the march toward the formation of the “one-world government,” where the Antichrist will emerge, will be impeded to a good extent.
Many End-Time prophecy watchers are now asking, “Will the Globalist New World Order and the return of Christ be delayed?”
In a way, it looks like Satan’s agenda is being held back in a big way over the next four years with President Trump at the helm of the US.

But you never know.
Consider the issue of CBDCs (Central Bank Digital Currencies). Many people are concerned about the nature of digital monies issued by their governments.
CBDCs are programmable. Through CBDCs, governments can surveil and control their populations. They can easily shut down non-compliant citizens and corporate entities from participating in any financial transaction at the push of a button.
Discerning Christians see the parallels of CBDCs with the Antichrist’s 666 financial system. They believe that the CBDC architecture will eventually morph into the mark of the beast system.
Donald Trump and many Republican leaders are opposed to the surveillance and control capabilities of CBDCs.
However, the President-elect is pro-cryptocurrencies. He has already begun to assemble a team of leading pro-crypto people to helm key financial, securities, and treasury positions in his new government. Trump is also expected to set up a Crypto Advisory Council and appoint a Crypto Czar in his White House.

My point in saying all this is the widespread acceptance and adoption of digital currencies, blockchain-enabled payment systems, and the tokenisation of assets will set the stage for the Antichrist’s 666 system.
So, while Trump’s opposition to the centralised CBDC system is laudable, his pro-crypto plan and policies will unwittingly bring the world a gigantic step closer to the Antichrist 666 financial system.
In other words, the New World Order and the formation of the global government led by the West have just taken a giant stride forward.

All this means the integration of digital assets into the mainstream financial system. As usual, the rest of the world will quickly follow in the U.S. footsteps. Already, several countries such as the U.K. and Australia have just announced their plans to create regulatory frameworks to support digital innovation and digital infrastructure development to harness the immense potential offered by this new blockchain technology.
As such, digital currencies, blockchain-enabled payment systems, and the tokenisation of assets will be enthusiastically embraced and quickly adopted.
People who resist CBDCs due to their surveillance and control features will have no problem embracing the secured decentralised digital currencies.

The Middle East Peace
Let us now turn our attention to geopolitics.
With Trump at the helm, I believe that there will be peace in the Middle East, and this also has eschatological implications.
The Western media have often portrayed Trump as a Nazi, fascist, and warmonger. Nothing is further from the truth. During Trump’s first presidential term, the US did not start any war. On the contrary, Trump managed to bring Israel and several countries together for peace talks. Under his leadership, Israel signed the Abraham Accords with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, and Morocco. He also entered into peace talks with North Korea though without success.
Presently, Trump has signalled that he wants to see an end to the war in Ukraine. He can do that quite easily by pulling US aid to Ukraine and reining in NATO’s confrontational stance with Russia.
In the Middle East, Trump will be a strong ally of Israel. He will support Israel’s right to defend itself by eradicating the threats posed by Iran and its proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas. He will be tough on Iran just like what he did during his first term.
It looks very likely that Israel and Saudi Arabia will sign the Abraham Accords. It is rumoured that the officials from both countries are already working on it. Once the relationship between both countries is normalised, the other Gulf states will follow suit quickly.

So, the coming peace in the Middle East is not going to delay the End-Time prophetic clock. Instead, it is taking the region one step closer to the apocalyptic war at the end of this present age.

There will be peace in the Middle East for the first time since Israel became a nation-state in 1948. Political stability coupled with economic cooperation between Israel and the surrounding Arab nations will bring unprecedented economic prosperity and many benefits to the entire region.
This is a crucial development in biblical prophecy. In the aftermath of the Hamas’ incursion into Israel on 7 October 2023 and the subsequent Israeli retaliation and wider conflict with Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, many prophecy watchers believed that the war described in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 loomed on the horizon.
I often argued against this position because a precondition is missing. Israel has to be at peace with its neighbours. Then, the invasion by several countries including Iran, Turkey, and Russia will happen.
Ezekiel 38:14-16 (ESV) - “Therefore, son of man, prophesy, and say to Gog, Thus says the Lord GOD: On that day when my people Israel are dwelling securely, will you not know it? You will come from your place out of the uttermost parts of the north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great host, a mighty army. You will come up against my people Israel, like a cloud covering the land…
“Dwelling securely” points to Israel’s peaceful co-existence with its neighbours.
So, the coming peace in the Middle East is not going to delay the End-Time prophetic clock. Instead, it is taking the region one step closer to the apocalyptic war at the end of this present age.
The fact that Saudi Arabia is on friendly terms with Israel is also a precondition to the Ezekiel 38-39 war. We read in Ezekiel 38:13 - Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all its leaders will say to you, ‘Have you come to seize spoil? Have you assembled your hosts to carry off plunder, to carry away silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to seize great spoil?’
Sheba and Dedan are modern-day Saudi Arabia. In this prophecy, they are protesting against the aggression of the Iran-Turkey-Russia alliance against Israel.
The Third Temple
Bible prophecy reveals that the Antichrist will stand in a Jewish temple in the city of Jerusalem and proclaim himself as God in the middle of the Tribulation.
Currently, there is no temple in Jerusalem since it was destroyed by the Romans in A.D. 70.
However, there is a strong possibility that this third Jewish temple will be rebuilt during this period of peace in the Middle East. The rebuilding of the temple could be a condition in the normalisation agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia.
If this happens, we are another step closer to the end of this present age. In that case, Trump’s presidency is not slowing down the ticking of the prophetic clock but hastening it.

In conclusion, looking at the potential developments that Trump’s presidency will bring, certain aspects of the New World Order and the formation of a West-led global government might seem to be impeded. But the prophetic countdown to the end of this present age will continue to march forward without delay according to God’s timetable.
The Trump-era digital currencies development and the geopolitical landscape in the Middle East are strong indications that we are another step closer to the prophesied end.
As for the rapture, it can happen anytime because it has no preconditions.
